Spectrometer Services offers accurate and cost-effective testing services for all types of steel and ferrous alloys:

Turnaround times of 24hrs for regular alloys are common with prices starting from $70 + GST.  Results are sent by fax immediately after completion of analysis.  A same-day express service is also available.

The analysis is performed on a spectrograph against a number of type-standards. The suite of elements commonly analysed in a routine test are:

Fe, C, Mn, Si, S, P, Ni, Cr, Mo, Cu, V, Nb, Ti, Al, B, Co, W, Mg.

Unusual alloys or additives are confirmed by other instrumental techniques and classical wet chemical methods.
